At our first premarital counseling session, it's my goal to make you as comfortable as possible.  It's perfectly normal to be nervous, excited, or both, and also a little unsure about how things might unfold.

I want you to feel prepared, so our first session is really about me getting to know as much about your relationship as possible.  We'll start with how you met, and work our way forward to the present moment.  I'll ask you to share your strengths, as well as areas for improvement.  I love to hear about your engagement, as well as your upcoming wedding, and how you're both dealing with the stress of wedding planning.

Most importantly, we will spend some time talking about your specific goals for premarital counseling, and make a plan for what topics are the most important to discuss as they pertain to YOUR relationship. I'll touch base on topics such as Communication, Conflict Resolution, Finances, Sex & Intimacy, Children, Marriage Goals & Expectations, and your Families. From there, we will create goals for our future sessions, so that you receive a fully customized experience.

When you work with me, you get customized 1-on-1 support (no cookie cutter counseling, here), the expertise and knowledge of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with over 1,000 couples, and a relationship for the future if and when you need me.

The best part of my job is being there for you through the years, for ups & downs, babies, puppies, home purchases, personal development, relationship changes, etc.  I love being your go-to person when you need a little help.

I love working with couples who value the investment in their future, and put their relationship and upcoming marriage first.  Premarital counseling is a commitment, and so is marriage. Therefore, I expect you to work for the relationship you desire, do your homework, discuss our conversations in-between sessions, and come prepared to learn, laugh, and have some fun!

I look forward to meeting you, and helping you create the beautiful, successful marriage you deserve!
